Dr. Oz's Gift Guide includes Tupperware!

I've been loving my SmartSteamer since I got it! You put the water in the bottom tray and the other two trays block the microwaves so that they cannot get through - they're deflected into the water in the bottom which begins to boil. The boiling water sends the steam up through the holes in the bottom of the trays and steams your food without any microwaves touching your food. It's an amazing product.
Check out Dr. Oz's Healthy Gift Guide here - his first giveaway is the Tupperware SmartSteamer!

You can give one away this Christmas too - order before Wednesday, Dec. 15 and get it before Christmas! rebeccashulba@gmail.com

Chef Stuart!

What a GREAT night! The Chef Stuart event on Monday night was fantastic! Stuart brought his A-game, whipping up 3 tasty recipes.
He brought 4 guests up on stage to taste test each of his recipes. I was jealous. :)
He showed how great the new Whip N Prep works to make whipped cream and then chocolate raspberry mousse...when I make my own, I will be sure to post photos and recipe!

This woman on the left has been selling Tupperware for 49 YEARS and she is here with our regional director, Sonja!

a fantastic mid-november sale flyer!

i'm always really excited when each month's new flyers come out and the mid-november tupperware flyer is the coolest i've seen all year. it's like a mini catalog with many pages to it! here are some of the highlights:

the LARGE CARRY-ALLS are BACK! if you don't have one, you need one. they hold the 10kg. bags of flour (or anything else that large). i have a friend who has one for white flour, whole wheat flour, and sugar. i used mine for my 20 lbs. of blueberries this summer. many people want them for their dog food too. at an awesome price - $36.50! also a great gift for the baker in your family.
the Early Ages sets are on SALE! i love, love, love these baby sets that came out in our fall catalogue. the Eco Feed N Grow Set is on sale for $15.75 and the Eco Complete Baby Set is on for $31.50!
Feed N Grow
Complete Set (yes, that's a portioned formula dispenser! love that!)

Also, TWO fantastic sets of water bottles. i loved this design when it came out as 1 L bottles but i've had many a customer say that it was too large for them. guess what? this month? get those pretty bottles in two new sizes! get a set of FOUR 750mL bottles for only $25.50 (can you say stocking stuffer?) or, if you purchase $120, you can buy a set of SIX 500mL bottles for $22.50! fill them up with those packets of lipton ice tea mix and you've got a cute teacher's gift or like i said, awesome stocking stuffer!

Last, but not least, the Flavour Saver is BACK! These have not been around in a long time so if your mom has ever loaned you hers like my mom has, you'll be excited to get your own! This container is the perfect size to hold up to a 14 lb. turkey but you could use it for a ham or roast chicken too. my inlaws have a rotisserie and whenever they do up a chicken, they make an extra for us and bring it over in their Flavour Saver circa. 1975! See in the photo below how there's a seperate insert with handles so that you can left it out of the container easily? As you can see in that picture, it's also great for speed thawing when you fill it with hot water. The Flavour Saver is on for $only $24.50 if you order $60.

my commuter mug

a tupperware product that i use all the time and love is my commuter mug.

why i like it better than my starbucks mugs is that the lid screws on to be liquid tight. when i don't have a free hand, i can toss it in my diaper bag until i DO have a free hand. it hasn't leaked on me yet! then you twist a little and there's a nice rounded edge for your mouth to drink from. it keeps your drinks hot for at least an hour and it's a nice size - not crazy big like some of those starbucks mugs. i can never drink that much coffee. these mugs hold 12oz. (like a starbucks tall) a great stocking stuffer!

host a party on one of these dates and get this mug for free along with all the other free product that i give my hostesses: nov. 12, 17 or 18

18 day old organic lettuce

There is a new Thrifty Foods in Abbotsford and I went on grand opening day - October 6th. Before my party this past Thursday (oct.21), I opened my fridge to see if there were any veggies in my Fridgesmarts that I could take to the party to show. I remembered my lettuce and thought, "Shoot. I hate cleaning out lettuce that's gone bad." I opened up the Fridgesmart and VOILA! The lettuce is in almost perfect condition. Sure, the outside leaf had a little rust on the spine but all the leaves were crisp and totally salad worthy. This morning, I opened up the container to take a photo and it's still in great condition...18 days after I bought it!

According to the USDA, the average family of four discards around 24 pounds of fresh fruit and vegetables every month. That’s 72 pounds of fresh food per person, per year that ends up in the trash. Through proper storage, this set helps you prevent that waste and can pay for itself in a very short period of time. Especially when it's 50% off! Get the set at this price until November 12th.

Chop N Prep Chef

In the current catalogue that came out in September, there was a new item called the Chop N Prep Chef. It's littler than the Quick Chef and has 3 blades that spin around when you pull the cord. While, in theory, it does the same thing as the Quick Chef, it's ideal for chopping a smaller amounts - things like nuts, garlic, fresh herbs, etc.

At my most recent party, I was doing a salsa demo in the Quick Chef - it's always a great idea to let your Tupperware consultant do a food demo because not only does it show how to use a few Tupperware products, but it also boosts party sales because people see it and know that it will save them time and money in THEIR kitchen! Anyways, to show how well the Chop N Prep Chef works, I threw the garlic and cilantro in there. I'd never used it before. Only with Tupperware can you trust that the item will do exactly what it says without ever testing it (though I don't recommend doing this, consultants! haha!). I pulled the cord THREE times and the garlic and cilantro was chopped SO finely - it was AMAZING! I was very impressed.

I will be taking my Chop N Prep Chef with me to all my salsa demos now! I loved how great it worked for smaller foods.

tupperware and costco shopping

Today, I did a Costco shop. I don't buy a lot of items at Costco but there are a few things that I just must buy in bulk.

#1: snap peas. I love snap peas because they are a good vegetable that don't need to be washed or cut up. Costco is the cheapest place to buy the 1.3kg bag. It pours exactly into my Fridgesmart Medium Long and lasts FOREVER! (and don't forget that the Fridgesmart set is on sale right now!)
#2: whole wheat pasta. Pasta is a staple in our house and lately, because I haven't had to time to lug my kiddo over to Costco, I've been buying the smaller boxes of whole wheat pasta at our regular grocery store. Whole wheat doesn't come in jumbo sizes at the grocery store so these smaller boxes cost about $3 each. At Costco, the 4lb. bag of rotini whole wheat pasta is $5.99! Yes, it's a lot of rotini pasta BUT it fits perfectly in my Modular Mate Rectangle 3 and will last at least a year (though we'd definitely eat it by then).
#3: blueberries. Frozen blueberries are a necessity in my house because my son LOVES them and eat a handful or two a day. They're also considered a "super-food" so why not eat lots? I buy the 3lb bag and pour it straight into my Large Freezer Mate. It holds that amount perfectly and when it's in a container, it stacks easily and neatly in my freezer.
What do you buy in bulk?

my go-to bowls

Yesterday, I made a broccoli salad to take to Thanksgiving dinner at my parents' place. I took it in the medium, yellow Impressions bowl. My mom washed my bowl and filled it with turkey for me to take home. I love my go-to bowls. And I still have one set left in my samples!
