Chips? Salad? Punch?

I was perusing a favourite blog and they featured this children's birthday party. The snacks were elegant but i couldn't help but wonder why the lemonade was in that Rubbermaid container!? It makes the table look much less classy, doesn't it? I know that non-breakables are essential at a kid's birthday party (and life with kids in general) but let's find something that's not such an eye sore on your table!

How about Tupperware's Chip N Dip bowl? Yes, the name says chips but the design says much more! I absolutely love my Chip N Dip bowl for punch at any party. It's large, pretty, and comes with a lid - what more could you want in a punch bowl?

The lid of divided into three sections so you can use it as a serving tray as well. I usually fill it up with cheese and crackers alongside my punch. And, if you choose to use the bowl for chips, it comes with two small bowls that hook onto the side of the bowl for your salsa and guacamole. These little bowls also have lids so that you can put them back in the fridge covered if they weren't finished.

New flyer is coming out April 9th and there's a great special on featuring this bowl - the Fiesta Salsa Set. It comes with the ever desirable Chip N Dip, two cute chili keepers, and a packet of our Southwest Chipotle Spice. The Chip N Dip alone sells for $53.50 but this whole set is on sale for only $48! It's a very cute set - great for giving as a gift (Mother's Day? Wedding?) or for keeping for yourself for all the summer BBQs and potlucks!

There are a ton of other great summery items and Mother's Day gifts in our upcoming flyer - want to get my online newsletter with the new sale flyer each month? Let me know - rebeccashulba@gmail.com

my go-to bowls

Yesterday, I made a broccoli salad to take to Thanksgiving dinner at my parents' place. I took it in the medium, yellow Impressions bowl. My mom washed my bowl and filled it with turkey for me to take home. I love my go-to bowls. And I still have one set left in my samples!

THE bowls

these are one of my favourite tupperwares that i have: my Impressions Bowl Set. i got them at the first party that i ever hosted because they were on sale, two for one. a friend and i split the set and i got my Impressions bowls. these are my go to bowls and i know i've blogged about thembefore and you saw them in my recent Spot the Tupperware post. but in the new, mid-july flyer that starts july 10th - they are ON SALE again! normally they're $42.25 for three but for this sale, tupperware has added the huge 4th bowl that nests them all! and the best kind of sale? two for the price of 1! so for $73.25, you're getting EIGHT awesome bowls! who can you split this with? OR it IS wedding season! who can you gift one set to? ooh...that is a good idea...

or cut up a whole watermelon to store in them...
or use them as toys when you babysit...
or to store babies...

spot the tupperware

how many pieces of tupperware can you see on my counter from when i was preparing meals for a friend who just had a baby?
if you found 4, you're good. if you found 5, you know your tupperware! if you found 6? you have xray eyes! my Twistable Peeler is hiding behind the large Fridgesmart. also here: myImpressions bowls are making two different things, my wonderful Grate N Measure, and my water bottle is actually sticking into the picture there as it dries on the bottle rack. haha.

bowls with lids

this week, i used a lot of bowls. tupperware bowls, obviously. then i came across this article about making reusable bowl covers - as seen below...

and i thought, isn't it great that tupperware bowls all come with seals? no need for saran OR sewing. i sent a salad to a potluck with a lid. i also poured my caesar dressing onto my chicken and romaine, put the lid on and shook it so that the dressing would coat everything evenly. i put some leftovers in a bowl and put the lid on. i gave my assistant a bowl to play with in the tub and a lid to chew on. ha.

this is my favourite bowl set - tupperware impressions bowl set. all the sizes you could possibly need.

and don't forget about the Thatsa bowl set which is on as a purchase with purchase for only $20.50 in the flyer that's been extended.

tupperware as toys

one of my favourite blogs, ain't no mom jeans, wrote a post yesterday about play mats but she started off the post with this thought:

"Being inexperienced with kids in general, I was totally unaware that, given a choice between a piece of Tupperware and a lights and bells-make-your-baby-brilliant-machine, most babes would happily have the Tupperware any day of the week".

This made me laugh because it's so true! instead of wanting to play with all the flashy toys in my diaper bag, my assistant would much rather shake and chew on the tupperware container
that holds his soother. and recently i was babysitting a friend's little boy and when i brought out my tupperware bowls which became a favourite toy of the day.

so now that you realize that all tupperware that you buy also doubles as a toy, let's not forget about the classic shape-o toy that we all had as kids!

this particular one is 30 years old. my cousin first had it then it was passed down to me then on to my younger cousins. now it's my child's! a toy that ages well. for $33, that's a pretty great investment.
