do your kids eat veggies?

Here's a great post that I recently read over at Make and Takes about getting your kids to eat their veggies: http://www.makeandtakes.com/helping-my-kids-eat-their-veggies

Put cut-up veggies in a tray that they can see in the fridge. This is a great way to make ME eat MY veggies! Get all the annoying prep work out of the way and then the Tupperware Serving Center makes eating them so handy! If the price tag on the Serving Center is too steep for you, send me a quick email and let me know you'd be interested in knowing when they're on sale and I can let you know when that happens. OR...

I have this cute little Mini Serving Center (which I use ALL the time for all kinds of things but mostly when my son has playdates - the kids can choose their snacks from the little tray themselves) for sale for $20 (no tax or shipping). Let me know if you want it!
Sometimes the task of filling the larger Serving Center can be a bit much if you have a small family or small kids who don't eat that much. This Mini-Serving center is pretty exclusive and I don't know when it will be back - I've only seen it twice in the last two years. :)

And forget about plastic wrap over either of these trays - they have lids! Oh Tupperware, I love it.

Breakfast Cookies with the Chop N Prep Chef

I found a recipe on Pinterest last week for these No Sugar Oat Drops. No sugar, no flour, no eggs, no butter. Whaat? Lots of oats, nuts, dried fruit, with bananas to hold it all together. One of the ingredients was mixed nuts "finely chopped". I pulled out my handy dandy Chop 'N Prep Chefand poured my 1/2 cup of mixed nuts in it.
Often, if I'm baking, it's with my 2 and a half year old assistant - something to do while the baby is napping yet again. Here he is helping chop:
Easy, right? It's great for herbs, making your own pesto, chopping just a small amount of onions, making baby food out of whatever you're having for dinner, etc.! And check out the results after about 10 pulls:

Here's the recipe for you:

1 1/2 cups regular rolled oats
1 cup coconut flakes
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/4 cup of almond meal
1/2 cup mixed nuts, finely chopped
1 cup dried fruit (I used 1/2 chopped dried dates, and 1/2 raisins)

3 ripe bananas, mashed
1/4 cup canola oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 175C. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, almond meal, mixed nuts and coconut flakes. Stir in allspice and cinnamon. Add dried fruit and stir until well and evenly mixed. Make sure the dried fruit do not stick together in big batches.
In another bowl, combine canola oil, mashed banana and vanilla extract. Pour wet ingredients over dry ingredients and stir until well combined.

Take a large cookie cutter and press spoonfuls of the batter into it. Remove cookie cutter. Bake for about 20 minutes or until edges are golden brown.

ENJOY!

Let me give you $75 or more!

If you wouldn't mind putting some extra cash in your pocket this month, why not try being a consultant for free? I'll give you a stack of catalogs, flyers, and order forms and you get them out to your friends and family. Collect some orders (minimum of $300), I will do the computer work of inputting them and I'll write you a cheque for 25% of your sales. If your orders add up to $300, that's $75 in your pocket.

That's all it takes to be a consultant! Put in sales of $500 over the course of 4 months to stay active...that's like $125 in sales a month! Plus, Tupperware offers consultants samples of all the sale items in each new flyer at a special, low sample price but you get credit for the FULL price! I post sale items on my facebook page once or twice a month and easily pull in $100 or so of orders.

To start out with Tupperware, the Business kit is $139 for $700 worth of Tupperware.
I'll help you out at having your Grand Opening party and then you go from there - doing parties, getting orders, or just selling to friends and family at your discounted prices - it's up to you what you want to make of it!

Email me at rebeccashulba@gmail.com to try out being a consultant for February or just to get started with the kit!

want a FREE Quick Chef?

Just host a party between now and Feb.29 and have just $550 in sales - that's an average Tupperware party's sales. Seriously - free Quick Chef. And I'd recommend hosting BEFORE the 10th because both the Microwave Rice Cooker AND Microwave Pasta Maker are ON SALE!!! you know i love these products!

So a $550 party this month gets you at least $83 in FREE credit, two half-price items, all the free gifts I give away at my parties, AND a FREE Quick Chef? What a deal!

(this is a personal promotion...probably not endorsed by other Tupperware consultants)

Cheesy Vegetable Soup starring the Quick Chef

Have you all met Tupperware's Quick Chef? It used to be red and it used to only have two blades. New and improved Quick Chef Pro System has three blades and can dice whatever you throw in there.
yes, you can chop carrots in the Quick Chef.

potatoes...
broccoli

Of course, I unfortunately forgot to take a photo of the finished product (in my beautiful Chef Series Dutch oven) because I was too busy serving it to friends and then eating it myself! But here's the recipe for you...(copied from here)

Cheesy Vegetable Chowder

2 Tablespoons butter
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup finely chopped carrot
1 stalk celery, finely chopped (feel free to add more celery if you like celery; I don't, so I don't add much)
1 Tablespoon minced garlic
4 cups chicken broth (I usually use a mixture of low-sodium chicken broth and broth made with chicken soup base because it gives it such nice flavor)
2 large baking potatoes, peeled and chopped
1 Tablespoon flour
1/2 cup water
2/3 cup milk
2 cups chopped broccoli
2 heaping cups shredded cheddar cheese

Melt the butter in a large soup pot. Add onions, carrots, and celery and saute over medium heat until tender. Add garlic and cook 1 or 2 additional minutes. Add chicken broth and potatoes, bring to a boil, and cook until potatoes are tender. Mix flour with water, add, and simmer until soup is slightly thickened. Add milk and broccoli and cook until broccoli is just tender and soup is heated through. Stir in cheese, allow to melt, and serve.
