chef series dutch oven

On the left, my old T-fal pot that I got in a set when I got married almost 7 years ago. On the right? My NEW Tupperware Chef Series Dutch Oven that I got for FREE with my party credits! Yep, that's worth $306 and I got it for free. This is NOT a consultant thing - anyone can get $306 of free credit when they host a party. I've given away that much before and we can work together to get it for you!

It's key to have your party during a promotion time where you get double your credits for your party. Interested in knowing when a promotion like this is going on? Send me an email and I'll let you know when there's a great promo on and we can find a date that works for you!

do you have kid's plates?

I often get this question at Tupperware parties by the moms who are buying the sippy cup set and other kids necessities. Unfortunately, my answer is always, "No,". I don't know why but Tupperware hasn't had a set of kids plates out for awhile (at least as long as I've been selling).

Until NOW! The current flyer has an awesome set of plastic, brightly coloured plates on sale! They're called "Luncheon Plates" but they're a great size for kids. I'd seen them in a photo online and just figured they were like the other plastic plates that Tupperware does sell (which i have) so I didn't order them at first. Then I saw them in person and they are AWESOME! They're a great size because they're bigger than those little Ikea plates and of course the plastic is much more durable and better quality. The problem with those little Ikea plates is that they are exactly that - little! Great for toddlers but as soon as your child is 3 or 4, you need something a little more substantial. These are perfect for the growing child (and of course, for an adult lunch too) Most plates have an edge on them that my son ends up leaning on which flips his food off accidentally. These Tupperware plates are flat all the way to the edges which makes them much sturdier. AND I love the colours.

We have used these plates every single day since I got them. Here they are in action at my son's birthday party last weekend.
and here it is holding one of his breakfasts from this past week.
for $18.75, you're getting EIGHT plates. They're a great weight, size, and durability. If you're a mom, these plates are a must. I'm already thinking that I'm going to buy one more set before the sale is over on July 8th! Let me know if you want a set - I'm putting in an order this Friday, June 24th. fridgesmart sale is back!

Just in time for all the fresh fruits and vegetables of summer, the buy one set - get one set free Fridgesmart sale is back! I've blogged about my Fridgesmarts so many times (remember the 18 day old organic lettuce? and the strawberries? and my cheese that never gets moldy?) and then i saw this video today. It definitely shows off how much better your fruits and veggies will stay in your Fridgesmart than just in your crisper drawer.

Get 8 Fridgesmarts for $98.50 - find someone to split them with, give half as a wedding gift this summer, or keep them all yourself! Also, buy the Large, long Fridgesmart container for just $19.50 with a purchase of $60 - this is everyone's favourite size and it's normally $36 and worth every penny!

Another set that's just on sale until June 24 is this 8L square Fridgesmart and 2 minis for $35.

frozen bananas

Whenever I buy bananas, some are sure to turn brown. Then I would peel them, put them in a bag, and freeze them in hopes of one day making banana bread. I've even seen people who throw them, peel on, straight into the freezer which I would imagine is quite a mess when you thaw them. Often, I leave them in there so long that they are so freezer burned, they're almost unrecognizable so I throw them out.

I had a revelation. Why not mash them BEFORE I put them in the freezer? Then store the mashed bananas in a Freezermate pre-measured for the amount I need? This way, they don't get freezer burned and I don't have to squeeze them out of a plastic bag into a bowl when it's time to bake them. I just let the container sit on my counter to thaw, then dump them upside down into my bowl, and throw my Freezermate in the dishwasher. No waste.

The medium 1 Freezermate, which comes in the Family Set, holds the exact amount that you need in this recipe:

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 1/3 cups mashed overripe bananas

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar. Stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture; stir just to moisten. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
  3. Bake in preheated oven for 60 to 65 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.

ENJOY!

The famous Tumblers and Sippy Lids

Currently, our most used Tupperware at our house is our Bell Tumblers and Sippy lids. My assistant drinks out of at least 3 a day - milk, juice, and water. They're the greatest. They are a slow flow sippy lid so they teach kids to regulate the amount of liquid coming into their mouth without that sucking motion that other sippy cups need. This way it's getting them ready for drinking out of a regular cup with no lid. And by now, my assistant can drink from a regular cup with no lid but the lids are helpful when he gets a little over excited with both milk and juice at once.

Get them as a free gift when you host a party - just let me know ahead of time that this is the gift that you're interested in!
TWO!

He's a thirsty guy.
